Finally...

After intending to start blogging for so long finally I am here and I just found that dictionary on this site does not include the word blog. Bogged down at my workplace with no work to do I eventually find time to do what I wanted to do for so long.
One of my favourite things to do is to watch movies. I love the Hindi movies for the amount of emotional drama they offer. I love how the good characters compulsorily win in the end. You can certainly tell at any point which way a scene is going to end. I think most of all I like the certainty of a happily-ever-after endings. I know there are exceptions to this rule. But in case of Indian movies such cases are so rare that one can ignore them in a breath.
My name is Khan was premiered last day in Abu Dhabi with live streaming on facebook. I wonder how many people logged into facebook to see it, specially with the kind of internet speed we have in India. My news paper this morning states a valid point that what if Jonny Lever played the hero would the film have been My name is lever. Another point which I wonder about is what is with all the movies and even television serials having a mentally abnormal protagonists. The obvious reason could be that such characters call for more sympathy from the public right from the beginning credits to the last scene. Why can't normal people have such eventful lives as our mentally challenged heroes.
I have no idea why or how it came to be, but we love to call our actors as heroes. I am in dark about what all heroic activities they must have done to attain the title. Certainly standing up to anti-secular dadagiri counts as heroic but what really matters is what we take forward after the movie has become hit, which it eventually will. The controversy surrounding this movie has more pressing points that concern the country than the success of the movie itself.
I have no doubt about the success of the movie since it has the perfect mix of a central character which we can pity, who is facing a tough situation, now doubt his morality is as high as mt Everest and as deep as Pacific ocean, the film will be renewing our emotions for a past successful screen couple chemistry, and obviously it has a big controversy (manufactured or real) vouching for it. I haven't seen My name is Khan, but will have to see it very soon. The SRK fans among my friends and family won't let me sleep peacefully until then.
In the end I'll say watch My name is Khan. If you decide to opt for BT-Brijal let me know how it was and support our national animal-Tiger, save it from extinction. And have a nice day.
